The political conflict between BRS and BJP seems to be taking a toll on Telangana cadre Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officials. The BJP has escalated its campaign against BRS and has accused IPS officials of disregarding the rule book. This has caused concern among senior leaders who feel that the actions of some IPS officials are bringing disgrace to the character of the all-India civil services.

Union Minister of Culture and Tourism G Kishan Reddy, TS BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar, party MLAs M Raghunandan Rao and Eatala Rajender, and other senior leaders have expressed their disappointment with the behavior of some IPS officials. BJP vice president D K Aruna has urged IPS and IAS officials not to lose the trust of the people by acting according to the whims and fancies of BRS. Eatala Rajender has called for police officials to act impartially.

However, the recent remarks made by Raghunandan Rao have angered the Telangana IPS Officers’ Association. They have demanded that the State Assembly Speaker take action against him for making uncharitable remarks against the State DGP Anjani Kumar. Similarly, remarks made against the Warangal Commissioner of Police AV Ranganath have also invited the anger of State police officers.

Meanwhile, State BJP leaders have appealed to IAS officials not to follow a ‘Yes Minister’ policy. Kishan Reddy has expressed his disappointment that IAS officers are not responding to letters sent by Union ministers regarding certain developmental activities in the State. Another allegation made by TBJP leaders is that IAS officials are not taking the issue of illegal land dealings around the State capital seriously.

In conclusion, it seems that the political conflict between BRS and BJP is causing tension among Telangana cadre IPS and IAS officials. While some leaders are urging impartiality and adherence to the rule book, others are accused of making uncharitable remarks and not taking important issues seriously. The situation remains tense, and it remains to be seen how it will be resolved.
