Hyderabad: On Wednesday, the Isha Foundation clarified that there are no other criminal cases against them. This comes after the High Court of Madras recently granted a stay on the police’s submission of a final report.

The Isha Foundation was established by Sadhguru with the aim of teaching yoga and spirituality. A representative from the foundation emphasized that they respect individual choices. “We believe that adults have the freedom to choose their own path. We do not force anyone to marry or become monks, as these are personal decisions,” said the representative.

The foundation also addressed a recent court case. “Despite our stance, the petitioner demanded that the monks staying at the Isha Yoga Centre be presented in court. The monks have appeared before the court and confirmed that they are staying at the center by their own choice. Now that the court is handling the matter, we hope the truth will come out and all unnecessary controversies will be resolved,” the representative added.

The foundation further explained that the same petitioner, along with others, had previously attempted to trespass on Isha Foundation’s property under the false claim of investigating the construction of a crematorium. This incident led to a criminal complaint being filed against members of the Isha Yoga Centre.

In response to this, the High Court of Madras has put a hold on the submission of the final police report. The representative reiterated that there are no other pending criminal cases against the foundation. “Anyone spreading false information about the foundation will face legal consequences,” the statement concluded.
