Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president Jagga Reddy announced that the party has started a ‘Ghar Wapsi’ program to strengthen the party at the local level in Telangana before the Lok Sabha elections. He mentioned that the All India Congress Committee (AICC) has given clear instructions to invite former leaders who had left the party for various reasons to re-join.
Jagga Reddy spoke to the media at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad, stating that there has been a positive response to the ‘Ghar Wapsi’ program. Many leaders, including ex-minister Sambani Chandrashekar, have already rejoined the Congress in the past two days. He added that all these leaders are coming back to the party without any conditions. The party leadership also suggested including those who worked against Congress in the recent Assembly elections.
The goal of the ‘Ghar Wapsi’ program is to boost the party’s presence at the grassroots level and prepare for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Jagga Reddy emphasized that it is important to unite all leaders and workers to strengthen the Congress party in Telangana.
