Hyderabad – Tensions have once again flared between senior Congress leader T Jeevan Reddy and Jagtial MLA M Sanjay Kumar. The disagreement between the two leaders has sparked confusion over Sanjay Kumar’s current political affiliation.
During a press briefing at Gandhi Bhavan, Jeevan Reddy openly questioned whether Sanjay Kumar still belongs to the Congress party. He told reporters he had no idea about Kumar’s party membership and suggested that only the Assembly Speaker could confirm it.
“I’m not sure which party he is part of,” Reddy said. “You should ask the Speaker. He has the official records, including party symbols and registration details.”
This rift between the two leaders is not new. Their rivalry in Jagtial has been ongoing for some time. Sanjay Kumar, a former member of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), is now an MLA, but his position within Congress remains unclear.
The dispute has even reached the All India Congress Committee (AICC). At one point, Jeevan Reddy reportedly considered quitting the party because of unresolved issues with Kumar.
As internal disagreements continue to grow, party unity in the Jagtial region appears to be under strain.
