The Jogulamba Temple is set for a major facelift. The Telangana government has unveiled a comprehensive plan worth Rs 345 crore to restore this historic site. A special committee, led by Planning Board Vice-Chairman G Chinna Reddy, will begin the temple’s renovation immediately with an initial budget of Rs 4.9 crore.

A meeting was held at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Pragathi Bhavan to discuss the renovation. Key attendees included Endowments Department Secretary Shailaja Ramayyar, Commissioner Venkatrao, and spiritual advisor Govind Hari, along with other officials.

The restoration will happen in three phases. Initial efforts focus on installing signboards on highways, planting trees, launching a sound and light show, and building bus stands. Future developments will include a yagasala, cowshed, museum, car parking, lecture hall, and CCTV installation. The committee stressed the need to preserve the ancient aspects of the temple while adding new features.
