Gadwal witnessed a strong statement from S. Ramachandra Reddy, a former BJP District President. He criticized the “Marwari Go Back” slogans in Telangana, labeling them as divisive actions against national unity.
Speaking to the media in Ayija, after being briefly detained by police, Ramachandra emphasized that these slogans were part of a harmful agenda. He stated that Marwaris have been crucial to Telangana’s economy for many years.
“When the Chief Minister seeks foreign investments, those investors eventually take profits abroad. In contrast, Marwaris live, earn, and pay taxes here, directly boosting the state’s GDP. They stay during both good and bad times. Calling them outsiders with ‘Go Back’ slogans is an anti-national plot,” he asserted.
Ramachandra also criticized the Telangana government for not addressing the issue. He expressed shock over the Chief Minister’s silence despite such provocative actions. He noted similar derogatory remarks against communities like Arya Vysyas, Brahmins, and Reddys, urging the Chief Minister to respond promptly.
He highlighted that traditional jobs of Dalits and other communities have declined due to technology, urbanization, and modern education, not because of Marwaris.
Promising support to the Marwari community, Ramachandra assured that the BJP stands with them. He also called for strict measures against groups like Rohingyas who speak against India while living here.
The meeting in Ayija included Ayija Town & Mandal Presidents Kompati Bhagat Reddy and Gopalakrishna, along with party leaders like Madan, Venkatesh Yadav, Rajashekhar, and others.
