Gadwal has exciting news for worshippers. The Jogulamba Temple is moving its free meal service, known as Annadanam, to a new location. The current dining area will shift to the Annadanam Block in the newly built Prasadam Scheme Building.
This change will occur on Thursday, July 31, 2025, after several religious events. Temple priests have chosen an auspicious time for starting the service in the new venue.
Events start on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the new site. The schedule includes:
8:00 AM onwards:
- Maha Ganapati Pooja
- Punyahavachanam (purification ritual)
- Samprokshanam (holy water sprinkling)
- Ritwik Varanam (inviting Vedic scholars)
- Maha Kalasha Sthapana (sacred pot installation)
- Vastu Mantaparchana (building space worship)
- Various Homams (fire rituals)
On Thursday, July 31, 2025, the events continue:
4:34 AM: Go Puja and Griha Pravesham (building entry)
11:00 AM: Poornahuti (final ritual offering)
12:00 Noon: Kalyanotsavam (celestial wedding) of Sri Jogulamba and Bala Brahmeshwara Swamy
1:00 PM: Annadanam begins in the new dining area
From July 31, 2025, the Annadanam will only be in the new Annadanam Block. This move aims to offer better facilities and service for temple visitors. The new facility is designed for more guests and promises a hygienic environment for the sacred meal.
