Hyderabad: On Monday, the Jawaharlal Nehru Journalists’ Housing Society continued their relay hunger strike for the seventh day at Nizampet. This protest is gaining strong support from various groups.

Families of journalists have joined the strike to support senior journalist Hasan Sharif. Retired journalists also traveled to Nizampet to stand with their peers, showing unity and strength. They urged, “Chief Minister, we rely on you.”

They asked for help to achieve their long-held dream of owning a home, which has been a goal for over 20 years. Despite lacking benefits and job security, they have dedicated their lives to journalism. Now, they hope for a home to provide stability and respect in their later years. However, a Supreme Court decision has made this dream seem out of reach.
