In Hyderabad, as political parties gear up for the upcoming Jubilee Hills Assembly Constituency By-Election, a different movement is gaining attention. This initiative, part of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation program, focuses on the importance of voting ethically and encouraging voter participation.
The campaign slogan, ‘I Vote For Sure – My Vote, My Right, My Power,’ is spreading across the Jubilee Hills area. A large awareness balloon displaying the election date, November 11, in multiple languages was launched at Krishnakant Park, Yousufguda, attracting many onlookers.
District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan is actively leading the SVEEP efforts to boost voter awareness and participation. Events at Sri Sarada Degree College for Women, Yellareddyguda, and Chunav Pathshalas in Rahmathnagar and Shaikpet have engaged various groups, including youth, women, seniors, and first-time voters. Through demonstrations of EVM and VVPAT, and sessions on the Voter Helpline and CVIGIL Apps, voter education is made both engaging and informative. A creative game called ‘Snake and Ladder – Journey of Democracy’ further enhances the learning experience.
Speaking through All India Radio and DOOR DARSHAN, R V Karnan encouraged every eligible voter to participate, promising special arrangements for PwD and senior citizens to ensure a smooth voting process. He emphasized, “Raising awareness among youth and first-time voters is crucial for a strong democracy. Every vote is significant, and ethical voting leads to a stronger nation.”
As election day approaches, the message in Jubilee Hills is clear and strong—Every Vote Matters. I Vote For Sure.
