Julakanti Brahma Reddy, the TDP in-charge of Macharla Constituency, recently urged the youth and women to join the Telugu Desam Party to strengthen opposition against the YCP government. He criticized the government for imposing high taxes on the poor, comparing it to draining their resources. Reddy also pointed out a case where a Dalit doctor was unfairly labeled as mentally unstable for asking for a mask.

In a recent development, 40 SC/ST minority families from Macharla town switched from the YCP party to the Telugu Desam party. Reddy emphasized that support from the Telugu Desam Party is crucial for the political and economic progress of Dalits and other marginalized groups. He also addressed issues of mistreatment and false accusations faced by these communities.
