In Hyderabad, Excise Minister Jupally Krishna Rao has responded to accusations from leaders of the BRS about irrigation projects in the former Mahbubnagar district. He criticized the BRS, accusing them of pretending to care about the district while failing to support it during their ten years in power.

The Minister dismissed comments from former minister Niranjan Reddy and R S Praveen Kumar, suggesting that the BRS is trying to blame the Congress for their own shortcomings. He pointed out that some projects were declared complete even when they were not. For example, the Palamuru-RR Lift Irrigation project was announced as operational, although it was only 20 percent finished at the time of the elections.

Jupally Krishna Rao questioned the expectation for the Congress government to finish these irrigation projects in just a few months. He argued that if the BRS couldn’t complete them in a decade, it is unrealistic to expect the Congress to do so immediately.
