Karimnagar District Chess Champions Successfully Qualify for National Tournament

Players from Genius Chess Academy in Karimnagar have been selected to participate in the National Chess competition. The selected players are G Megha Samhita, who ranked fifth in the under 17 girls category, I Sloka Yukti, who placed fourth in the under 14 category, and K Supreeth, who also placed fourth in the under 14 boys category. The players were congratulated by Karimnagar District ACP (Crime Branch) Madhavi and were later felicitated at the ACP office in Karimnagar.

The Directors of the Academy, Kankati Anup Kumar and Kankati Kanakaiah, expressed their happiness regarding the selection of these players. They achieved success at the ’67th State Level Competition’ organized by Schools Games Federation (SGF) at Kerala Model High School, Krishna Colony, Srirampur.

Out of the 20 players selected, 10 are boys and the rest are girls. All of them will represent Telangana in the national level competition held in Vellore, Tamil Nadu from December 26 to December 30. The teams departed for the competition on Sunday.
