Karimnagar, Oct 29: In view of Cyclone Montha’s peak impact expected to bring heavy to very heavy rains across Telangana, Karimnagar District Collector Pamela Satpathy has declared a holiday for all educational institutions on Thursday, October 30, as a precautionary measure.

The district administration has placed all departments on high alert, urging citizens to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary. People have been advised to avoid venturing near water bodies or crossing flooded culverts, as continuous downpours could lead to flash floods and waterlogging in low-lying areas.

Fishermen have been strictly instructed not to venture into rivers or reservoirs until further notice, as wind speeds and rainfall intensity are likely to increase overnight.
