Hyderabad: On Thursday, Kalvakuntla Kavitha, President of Telangana Jagruti, indirectly criticized BRS Working President KT Rama Rao. She questioned the celebrations in America while the party’s president received notices.
At her home, Kavitha spoke informally to the media. She claimed there was a plot to merge the party with the BJP. She criticized the top leaders for not organizing protest activities and only tweeting. Kavitha pointed out that an anti-Telangana party governs the state, yet the party has no action plan. She mentioned the AP government's Banakacharla project, which could harm Telangana’s interests. “Notices were served to KCR. The party should have protested. Celebrations in America are pointless when the president gets notices,” Kavitha argued.
Kavitha urged the party to reveal who leaked a letter. “I’ve written hundreds of letters to my father. What’s your problem? Why target me?” she asked. She also questioned the working president’s stance on the Adani issue, noting that when the Telangana Talli statue was altered, party leaders wore Adani t-shirts in the Assembly. “Is Adani more important than our state issues?” she questioned. Kavitha mentioned discussing these issues within the party, but the letter was leaked. “Where is the secrecy? Who leaked the letter?” she demanded.
Responding to another query, Kavitha stated she never requested a party post. “I haven’t asked for any roles. I’m a passionate person like KCR. I’m a fighter,” she declared, emphasizing that only KCR is the leader.
