Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao, the working president of BRS, visited party president K Chandrashekar Rao at his farmhouse. This meeting sparked talk of possible action against MLC Kavitha after her recent letter and comments.
The BRS chief instructed state and district leaders to remain silent on the matter. Sources revealed that the two leaders met for two hours at Eravelli, a significant meeting following Kavitha’s controversial remarks about “devils around KCR” and rumors of her starting a new political party.
Some party insiders noted Chandrashekar Rao’s displeasure with Kavitha discussing party issues publicly. His frustration led him to advise leaders to avoid the farmhouse this weekend, resulting in fewer visits.
KCR reportedly told KTR and others not to comment on Kavitha’s situation, considering it a minor issue that will resolve soon. The opposition, including Congress and BJP, seized on Kavitha’s statements, aiming to exploit the situation. KCR emphasized the importance of BRS members staying quiet until an appropriate decision is made.
Additionally, KCR and KTR discussed their response to the Kaleshwaram Commission. The PC Ghosh Commission had issued notices to KCR and other leaders like T Harish Rao and BJP MP Eatala Rajender. KCR previously met with Harish Rao on this matter.
The BRS leaders also planned for the Telangana Formation Day celebrations on June 2, with events scheduled in Dallas where KTR will be present.
