Hyderabad: BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has raised concerns about possible underage workers at the Sigachi factory. She believes this is why the factory management has not disclosed the exact number of workers present.
After visiting patients injured in the Sigachi factory explosion at Dhruv Hospital in Patancheru, Kavitha stressed that the actual number of workers remains unknown. She suspects minors were among the employees and urges the government to uncover the truth.
Kavitha blames the accident on government negligence. She described the incident at Sigachi as unfortunate and called for improved industrial safety measures. Additionally, she demanded a compensation of Rs 1 crore for the families of those who lost their lives. Kavitha also requested that funds be promptly provided to hospitals caring for the victims.
