Warangal: MLC K Kavitha spoke about how creating the separate state of Telangana was not easy. She explained that TRS (now BRS) party leader K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) worked very hard for 14 years to achieve it. Kavitha said that KCR led the movement peacefully, even though it was difficult and full of challenges.
She mentioned that the Congress party, which was in power at the time, tried to weaken the Telangana movement. But despite these efforts, KCR stayed strong and continued the fight until Telangana became a separate state. Kavitha said that the upcoming Silver Jubilee celebration of the BRS party is meant to help young people understand how important the movement was and how it changed their lives for the better.
Kavitha also talked about Warangal’s key role in the Telangana movement. She said many important leaders from across the country attended public meetings in Warangal during the push for statehood. She expects a big turnout at the Silver Jubilee public meeting in Elkathurthy.
She listed several welfare programs started by KCR to help the poor and farmers. She said the Congress party, which is now in power, has not kept its promises from the elections. Kavitha urged women to attend the public meeting and said special facilities will be provided for them.
Several political leaders joined Kavitha at the event, including former chief whip D Vinay Bhaskar, MLCs Pochampally Srinivas Reddy and T Ravinder Rao, and former MPs and MLAs like Maloth Kavitha and Banoth Chandravathi.
Before the event, Kavitha and Vinay Bhaskar visited the famous Bhadrakali Temple to pray for the success of the Silver Jubilee public meeting.
