Hyderabad: Senior BRS leader and MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha confirmed on Friday that she had written a letter to her father, KCR (K Chandrashekar Rao), sharing honest feedback about the party’s recent silver jubilee meeting.
Speaking to reporters at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Kavitha made it clear that the concerns in her letter weren’t just her own. “These are the voices of our ground-level workers,” she said, stressing that her message reflected what she heard during her visits across Telangana.
She expressed surprise and disappointment over how the private letter got leaked. “This was a personal note to my father, not a public statement,” she explained. “I’ve toured almost half the state to understand what people and party workers are saying. There’s no personal motive. I’ve always written to my father when I needed to share feedback. This time, unfortunately, it went public.”
Kavitha firmly denied any criticism of KCR or the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). “I never spoke against our leader. My only goal is to make the party stronger. We need a proper feedback system in place,” she said.
She described KCR as the best choice for Telangana’s leadership, calling him the only real alternative to Congress and BJP. “Neither of them has done anything for our state. Telangana needs KCR’s vision and leadership,” she added.
Kavitha also mentioned that any weaknesses in the party can be fixed. She emphasized the importance of identifying those who might be harming the party from within. “If we want to move forward, we must address these internal issues,” she concluded.
