Khanapur: ASI suspended for rude behavior toward farmer

Khanapur: In Nirmal, police have suspended an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) for improper conduct with a farmer at a meeting. The incident occurred during a Bhu Bharati revenue conference in Pata Yellapur on Wednesday.

At the event, a farmer got into a dispute with the revenue staff. Officials asked the farmer to leave the conference. A complaint later emerged that ASI Ramachandran behaved inappropriately while escorting the farmer out.

Nirmal District Superintendent of Police (SP) Janaki Sharmila confirmed that the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) suspended ASI Ramachandran after receiving the complaint. SP Janaki Sharma emphasized that senior officials acted promptly to address the issue.
