Khanapur, Nirmal District: Collector Abhilasha Abhinav has instructed officials to treat farmers with respect during village revenue meetings.

She emphasized that the administration is taking seriously the viral video showing an incident at one of these meetings. An ASI was suspended for mistreating a farmer, and further investigation is underway.

Abhilasha urged officers to assist attendees at the conferences.

The government introduced the Bhu Bharati law to address land disputes effectively.

These village revenue meetings, part of the law’s second phase, will occur in all mandals from the 3rd to the 20th of this month.

The Collector reported they have received more than 1,000 applications concerning issues in 36 revenue villages.
