Kisan Morcha Protests in Khammam, Accuses BRS of Being Anti-Farmer

The state president of BJP Kisan Morcha, Kondapally Sridhar Reddy, accused CM KCR of mistreating farmers in Telangana with policies that harm them. He spoke at a protest held by the Morcha, which caused a traffic jam in Penuballi on Kodada NH. Many farmers and party leaders participated in the protest, demanding the implementation of KCR’s promise to waive agricultural loans up to Rs 1 lakh with interest.

Reddy criticized KCR for not implementing the crop insurance scheme in Telangana, which has left farmers in a difficult situation. He also said that KCR’s revenue records reforms have caused poverty for farmers. Reddy called for the immediate scrapping of the Dharani portal and the introduction of error-free alternative portals.

He alleged that thousands of farmers in the state are suffering mentally as their forefathers’ cultivated land details are not recorded in the records. The protest caused heavy vehicles to stop on Khammam Kodada road. District BJP president Galla Satyanarayana, district general secretary Nunna Ravi Kumar, Kisan Morcha district president Chava Kiran, and others were present at the event.
