Union Minister and Telangana State BJP chief G Kishan Reddy criticized the State government and police for not taking action against attacks by slaughterhouse mafia gangs on children and tribal women in Chengicheral. He demanded that attempt of murder cases be filed against the culprits and cases under the tribal atrocities act be initiated.
The slaughterhouse mafia gangs, coming from other states, have been terrorizing the poor tribals in the area with the support of Majlies. Kishan Reddy expressed outrage at the police for not intervening and allowing the attacks to continue. The victims, mostly women celebrating Holi, were attacked with stones resulting in serious injuries, including pregnant women.
Despite video evidence of the attacks, the police have not taken any action even after 24 hours. Kishan Reddy condemned the police’s inaction and accused them of being biased. He criticized the police for treating the victims as outpatients in the hospital instead of ensuring justice for them.
Kishan Reddy accused the State government of double standards for providing free bus travel to women while failing to protect them from mafia gangs. He vowed to support the victims and fight for justice, demanding the closure of the slaughterhouses and immediate filing of non-bailable cases against the attackers.
