Hyderabad: On Wednesday, Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy criticized the Congress government in Telangana for not investigating alleged corruption in the Kaleshwaram project. This project was developed during the previous BRS rule.

Reddy stated that it’s the state’s duty to look into these allegations. He accused Rahul Gandhi of avoiding arrests and said that Congress is shifting the blame to BJP instead of addressing corruption.

According to Reddy, the state government is only focusing on technical issues highlighted by the National Dam Safety Authority and the Ghose Commission, rather than tackling the corruption charges.

The BJP leader also accused the Congress of misleading the public by blaming the BJP and the central government, even though the police and irrigation departments are under state control.

Recently, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy claimed that BJP and BRS have a close relationship. He alleged that the central government is protecting BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao.
