Hyderabad: Union Minister G Kishan Reddy expressed gratitude to Union Minister Pralhad Joshi for approving an extra 450 MW for solar power plants in Telangana and for providing 20,000 solar pump sets to the state.
He shared his appreciation on social media, tagging the Prime Minister, and highlighted the PM-Kusum scheme. This initiative aims to boost solar energy use in agriculture, benefiting both the environment and farmers by reducing their electricity costs.
Kishan Reddy emphasized the significance of this approval, calling it a great opportunity for Telangana due to its solar potential.
Despite this support, he criticized the State Government for poor implementation of the PM-Kusum scheme. As the scheme concludes in 2026, he urged the Chief Minister to act in the interest of Telangana’s farmers and ensure they receive these benefits.
