Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, G Kishan Reddy, has stated that he will discuss the poor conditions and arrangements for devotees visiting Sabarimala with the Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan. Several MPs from Kerala have raised this issue with the Centre, and Reddy assured that the Centre will offer any necessary assistance to the Kerala State government. Reddy emphasized that the State government must urgently take action to improve the infrastructure and provide basic amenities to the devotees.

Expressing his disappointment, Reddy noted that while the Centre is extending the Prasad Scheme, the state government is not cooperative. He pointed out that both the previous Congress government and the current CPM government in Kerala have been non-cooperative. Reddy urged the Kerala CM to ensure that Ayyappa Swamy devotees are provided with essential facilities and take preventive measures to avoid incidents like stampedes. He also called on voluntary organizations to contribute their services in helping the devotees.
