Telangana BJP chief G Kishan Reddy has asked members of the KishanMorchat to join the party’s RythuSatyagrah programme on April 5. This protest aims to show opposition to the State government’s policies that are not supportive of farmers.
During a meeting with BJP State and district KishanMorcha leaders, Reddy urged them to work hard for the party’s success in the upcoming parliament elections. He instructed them to visit villages, educate farmers about the government’s anti-farmer policies, and participate in protests at all district centers on April 5.
Reddy expressed that farmers are upset with the Congress government for failing to fulfill promises made during the Assembly elections, including a farm loan waiver. He highlighted the pro-farmer initiatives taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government at the Centre, such as increasing minimum support prices and providing financial aid under the KisanSamman Yojana.
Various BJP leaders, including State organising general secretary Chandrashekhar Tiwari and national executive members Goli Madhusudan Reddy and Papaya Goud, were also present at the meeting. They emphasized the importance of spreading awareness about beneficial measures for farmers implemented by the Centre.
