Hyderabad: The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has extended the deadline for online applications for MBBS admissions. Students who scored at or above the cutoff in NEET UG-2025 now have until July 30 to apply.

Previously, the university stated that students would be considered local only if they studied in the state for four years from Class IX to Intermediate. However, the Supreme Court recently directed that admissions should follow last year’s system, which used the nativity certificate provided by Tahasildars.

The original counseling deadline was Friday, but due to the court’s decision, the university extended the application deadline. Many students faced issues due to earlier government orders requiring four consecutive years of study in the state. Those who studied elsewhere for two years were deemed non-local, impacting their admissions. Students from Telangana challenged this, leading the court to mandate admissions based on last year’s rules.
