Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has responded to Rajagopal Reddy’s decision to join the Congress. Venkat Reddy said he was not informed about Rajagopal’s inclusion and that the final decision rests with the Congress president. He added that the party’s high command will handle the selection of candidates and their constituencies, and their decisions on ticket distribution are final.

Rajagopal Reddy has resigned from the BJP and will join the Congress party on the 27th of this month. He is expected to contest from the Munugodu constituency on behalf of the Congress party.

Rajagopal Reddy expressed his ambition to free Telangana from Chief Minister KCR’s rule. He mentioned that there is strong opposition to the current government in the state and believes that the Congress party is now seen as a viable alternative to the ruling TRS.

Rajagopal Reddy joined the BJP 15 months ago, hoping it could challenge the corrupt regime. However, he resigned from the BJP as he felt it did not emerge as a strong alternative to the TRS. Despite switching to the Congress, his goal remains the same – to end KCR’s rule.

It is worth mentioning that Rajagopal Reddy was previously a Congress MLA from Manugodu but had resigned from the party and joined the BJP. He contested in the by-elections representing the BJP but was unsuccessful. With approval from the Congress High Command, he will now rejoin the Congress party.
