BRS Working President and Telangana IT and Industry Minister KT Rama Rao criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his objectionable comments on the formation of Telangana State. KTR expressed his disappointment with Modi’s remarks on Twitter. He stated that this was not the first time the Prime Minister had made derogatory comments about Telangana’s formation, showing a complete disregard for historical facts. The people of Telangana had fought for six decades to achieve statehood, which was finally realized on June 2nd, 2014.

During the journey to statehood, the youth of Telangana made numerous sacrifices. It is incorrect and disrespectful to suggest that Telangana did not celebrate its statehood. Prime Minister Modi’s repeated remarks hurting the sentiments of the people of Telangana seem to be aimed at criticizing the Congress party.
