Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao, the working president of BRS, is actively working to boost the confidence of party members and plan strategies for the upcoming by-election in the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency.

The party is determined to hold onto its seats in the city, especially after losing the Secunderabad Cantonment seat in a previous by-election. BRS has historically had a strong presence in the city, as shown by their success in the 2023 Assembly elections and the civic body. However, after the Congress formed the government, some local MLAs left BRS, leading to the loss of the Secunderabad Cantonment seat.

Sources indicate that BRS is proactively preparing for the by-election even before the official schedule is released. KT Rama Rao has initiated election preparations by organizing meetings at the division level. He has already held gatherings in the Rehmat Nagar and Vengalraonagar divisions and plans to meet with the Erragadda division soon.

Rama Rao has also met with constituency in-charges, urging them to communicate with voters about the Congress government’s unfulfilled promises. He warns that voting for Congress might lead to the demolition of homes, emphasizing that BRS must return to power to ensure continued development.

A senior BRS leader revealed that KTR is keen on restarting the ‘Vijaya Yatra’ from Jubilee Hills. He assured party members that better days are ahead, especially after the local body elections. Winning these elections could shift the political landscape in their favor, he suggested.

During a recent gathering in Gadwal, KTR expressed confidence, stating that by-elections will reveal true political strength. He called for teaching Congress a lesson in the upcoming local body elections and urged supporters to raise the pink flag on Gadwal Municipality. Party leaders believe these efforts will energize the cadre as they prepare for the polls.
