BRS Working President KTR participated in a major protest organized by BRSV at Indira Park in Hyderabad, expressing solidarity with students across India who are facing alleged government crackdown in Delhi. The protest aimed to highlight the concerns of students and youth who have been demonstrating at Jantar Mantar in the national capital against various issues affecting their educational rights.
Addressing the gathering, KTR clarified the purpose of the demonstration, stating that students across India are raising their voices and the protest was organized to stand with them against the government’s treatment. He emphasized that there is no politics or hidden agenda in this movement, making it clear that the support for students is purely based on their legitimate concerns and the way authorities have been handling their protests.
The BRS Working President demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and called for an immediate end to the crackdown on students. He strongly criticized the police brutality in Delhi and urged the central government to abandon its stubborn attitude toward the protesting students. KTR’s statements reflected growing concerns about how student demonstrations are being managed by law enforcement agencies in the capital.
Taking a sharp jab at media coverage, KTR pointed out that not a single media outlet showed Sonam Wangchuk’s protest due to fear of ED and CBI. However, he praised students for shaking the entire country through social media platforms, highlighting how digital platforms have become powerful tools for student activism. He described the situation as the Prime Minister choosing to fight with students rather than addressing their genuine grievances.
The BRS leader also directed criticism at Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of being obsessed with KCR and KTR instead of focusing on real issues. He alleged that Revanth Reddy does not have the courage to go to Delhi and confront the Prime Minister but instead creates obstacles for those who are fighting for students’ rights. KTR questioned whether the Chief Minister feels no anger when students are being beaten by police.
Speaking about BRS supremo KCR’s concern for students, KTR mentioned that seeing the students’ anxiety is causing distress to the former Chief Minister. He assured protesters that if necessary, KCR himself would come forward to support the students. The Working President recalled KCR’s earlier statements during the Corona period about children being future builders who will change the face of the country and protect the nation.
Raising questions about justice and accountability, KTR highlighted the contrast between how different cases are handled by the system. He pointed out that in rape cases, sons of BJP leaders get bail, but when paper leaks happen, students are not getting justice. The BRS leader challenged the eight BJP MPs and two Union ministers from Telangana to answer this question, asking why they remain silent on issues affecting students.
Addressing the broader narrative around nationalism and religion, KTR questioned the ruling party’s stance by asking whether the protesting students are not Hindus too. He challenged the rhetoric of those who claim to work for the country and dharma, pointing out the irony of the same government taking action against students who are also part of the same community and nation they claim to protect.
