Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) is investigating issues related to the Formula E race. They have asked former minister K T Rama Rao to attend an inquiry at 10 am on Monday. Rao challenged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to join him for a lie detector test since both are mentioned in ACB cases.
Previously, the ACB issued notices to KTR on May 26, requesting his presence on May 28. However, KTR was traveling to the USA and UK and requested more time, which the agency granted. Rao had earlier participated in an Enforcement Directorate (ED) inquiry on January 6, accompanied by his lawyers. The officials did not permit others to be present, so KTR left.
On January 8, Rao returned and was questioned by investigators for seven hours. The ACB is looking into irregularities involving around Rs 55 crore. They have identified three accused: KTR (A1), senior IAS officer Arvind Kumar (A2), and former HMDA engineer BLN Reddy (A3). The three have been questioned individually.
