Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao, the working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), criticized the Congress party and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing them of betraying the people of the state. Speaking at a party workers’ meeting in Malkajgiri on Sunday, KTR said it was time for the people of Telangana to stand up to political parties from Delhi.
He accused Revanth Reddy of making false promises and said the Congress party’s empty assurances had caused problems for the people. “Believing a fraudster once is a mistake,” KTR said. “But falling for him again and again becomes our mistake.” He urged people to reject Congress in the upcoming elections, including the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) polls.
KTR said that while the condition of the state was getting worse, only Revanth Reddy seemed happy. He claimed that even Congress ministers, MLAs, and workers were unhappy with the current leadership. He blamed the problems on Congress’s poor governance.
He praised local MLA Rajasekhar Reddy for working hard to solve public issues. KTR said Reddy had taken up important matters like waste dumping sites and had even protested government inaction. He said this showed how good leadership can make a difference.
KTR called on voters to send a strong message to both Congress and BJP in the local elections. He said that BRS was the only party that truly represented Telangana’s spirit and identity.
He also invited all party members and supporters to join the BRS Silver Jubilee celebrations on April 27. “Completing 25 years is a big achievement for any political party,” he said.
