Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao, the working president of BRS, criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday. He accused him and the Telangana Congress of misleading the Backward Classes (BC) with false promises from the Kamareddy BC Declaration.
KTR tweeted strongly, stating that the Congress views lies as achievements. He questioned why Gandhi and the Congress celebrate offering 42% BC reservations when it lacks constitutional backing.
KTR noted that the government hasn’t fulfilled other promises from the BC Declaration while awaiting approval for reservations.
He mocked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, asking if he needed approval to provide 42% BC reservations in government contracts. KTR revealed that despite two state budgets, nothing from the promised Rs 1 lakh crore for BC welfare was allocated. He demanded to know how many BC youths received the promised Rs 10 lakh assistance or if the Prof. Jayashankar BC Aikyatha Bhavan received its Rs 50 crore funding.
Rao alleged that more money was spent on advertising the Kamareddy Declaration than on its implementation. He sarcastically suggested Rahul Gandhi adopt the slogan ‘Jitni Declarations, Utna Jhooth’. Describing this as the ‘Telangana Congress model’, KTR concluded that it was about “promises without performance, celebrations without substance,” using the hashtag #CongressFailedTelangana.
