Hyderabad: On Monday, BRS working president KT Rama Rao remarked that no other chief minister, including Revanth Reddy, has received as much criticism and disrespect in the villages of the Telugu states‘ history.
Rama Rao responded to Revanth Reddy‘s criticism of KCR by stating that Revanth’s position as chief minister is due to the BRS leader. He shared these thoughts while welcoming former Congress members from Medak into the BRS at Telangana Bhavan. Once known for its pigs and donkeys, Siddipet has seen significant changes. According to Rama Rao, only one or two donkeys remain in Medak, and they will soon leave too.
Rama Rao criticized the chief minister harshly. “We’ve seen leaders like NT Rama Rao, YS Rajasekhara Reddy, K Rosaiah, and KCR. None have faced people’s anger like Revanth Reddy. It’s all negativity when he speaks,” said KTR. The chief minister promised to waive loans of Rs 2 lakh. He claimed waiving Rs 50,000 crore but actually waived only Rs 12,000 crore to Rs 13,000 crore. He pledged RythuBandhu at Rs 15,000 for three crops but gave just Rs 12,000, expecting farmers to rejoice, asserting he would secure 100 seats, KTR noted.
KTR criticized the chief minister’s language against the opposition leader, reminding Revanth that his position was thanks to KCR. “We governed for ten years without irresponsible talk. Is this Indiramma Rajyam? Filing cases against those posting against the government,” KTR questioned.
Senior leader T Harish Rao mentioned the past reputation of Siddipet and Medak for pigs and donkeys, respectively. Now, these areas have developed significantly. Ramayampet Degree College, SC, ST Residential schools, and a modernized Ghanapuram canal are in place. KCR ensured even the last ayacut gets water. While KCR gave RythuBandhu during the cropping season, Revanth Reddy offers it during voting season. Harish Rao criticized Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy for misleading people. “Aren’t you deceiving by not operating motors in Kalwakurthy while lifting gates in Pothireddypadu to take Krishna water? Isn’t it true that lakhs of cusecs are going to Godavari? It’s like Revanth’s administration is diverting water to Andhra and funds to Delhi,” stated Harish Rao.
