K.T. Rama Rao, the Working President of BRS, spoke out on the upcoming nationwide mock drills scheduled for May 7. These drills are part of a national effort to strengthen emergency preparedness following a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam that has deeply shaken the country.
Calling the Pahalgam attack one of the most devastating in recent times, KTR emphasized the need for unity in the fight against terrorism. He urged all citizens and political parties to fully support any strong measures taken by the Union Government to keep the nation safe.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is leading a series of mock drills across various cities. These are designed to test how quickly emergency services and the public can respond in crisis situations. KTR encouraged people to take part seriously, calling it a matter of national interest.
As part of this effort, Hyderabad will join the nationwide drill on May 7 at 4 p.m. Key locations in the city such as Secunderabad, DRDO Kanchanbagh, NFC Moulali, and Golconda will host the drills.
Authorities ask residents to remain calm during the exercise and follow all official instructions. The goal is to improve coordination among agencies and ensure citizens know what to do during real emergencies.
BRS has pledged its full support to any action that helps protect the country and its people.
