Hyderabad: A large fire broke out on Sunday at a firecracker stall near Mayur Pan Shop in Bogulkunta, Abids. The stall had been set up for the upcoming Diwali festival.
The fire quickly spread from the Paras Fireworks stall, affecting nearby shops and hotels. This created panic among local residents and people passing by.
Locals immediately informed the police and fire department. Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene and were able to put out the flames.
The fire services department received the emergency call around 9:40 PM. Due to the intensity of the fire, five fire extinguishers were used to control it. Many vehicles, including bikes and cars, were destroyed in the fire. Since it was the weekend, there was a large crowd at the nearby food court, adding to the chaos.
Officials confirmed that a few customers inside the shop were injured. They were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
