Gadwal – A special event was held on Thursday to mark International Workers’ Day. The District Legal Services Authority organized a Legal Awareness Seminar at the district headquarters to educate workers about their rights.
Principal Senior Civil Judge V. Srinivas was the chief guest at the seminar. He spoke directly with workers, listened to their concerns, and offered guidance on how to protect their rights.
Judge Srinivas explained the importance of having a Labor Card and an e-Shram Card. He said these cards are key to getting support from various government welfare schemes. Without them, many workers miss out on important benefits.
He warned workers to avoid middlemen who may mislead or exploit them. Instead, he advised them to use official MeeSeva centers to access services safely and legally.
The judge also urged workers to write down any problems they face and submit them to the legal seminar team. This way, the authorities can take action and provide the legal assistance they need.
Several legal experts and officials joined the event, including Assistant Labor Officer Venu Gopal, and advocates Moin Pasha, V. Rajender, B. Srinivasulu, and Lakshmana Swamy. Their presence helped make the session informative and useful for everyone who attended.
