MLAs G Madhusudhan Reddy, Chittem Parnika Reddy, and Vakiti Srihari recently met with irrigation officials in Hyderabad to address the concerns of farmers in Devarakadra, Narayanapet, and Maktal constituencies. The main agenda of the meeting was to discuss the irrigation schedule for agricultural farms in the upcoming Rabi season, with a focus on the Koilsagar project.
Dr Parnika Reddy, representing Narayanpet constituency, had a separate meeting with the engineer-in-chief at the state irrigation department office. She highlighted the challenges faced by farmers in the ayacut of the Koil Sagar project.
The Engineering-in-Chief responded positively to Dr Reddy’s concerns and assured that necessary actions would be taken to release irrigation water promptly. This news brings much-needed relief to the farmers.
