Two people from Shannapur in Medak district died after being struck by lightning while searching for firewood in the forest. The victims were identified as Shettaboina Siddaiah (50) and Chakali Nandu (22).
Their families and villagers launched a search operation when Siddaiah and Nandu did not return home. They were found struck by lightning in the Mallanna Gutta area.
The community is grieving the loss of Siddaiah and Nandu. Authorities are reminding everyone to be cautious during bad weather and have offered their condolences to the families of the deceased.
