However, Lockie Ferguson, a pacer for the team, hopes that Russell will return to form and hit big in the upcoming game.
Ferguson believes that Russell is far from underperforming and played well in the first game against Punjab Kings. He recalled his experience of playing with Russell in 2019 and stated that he has not seen anyone hit a ball like him. Ferguson also praised Indian coach Chandrakant Pandit for creating a good team atmosphere.
