Madhavi, an IRSSE officer of the 1990 batch, has become the Commissioner of Railway Safety for SCR, Secunderabad. She has a degree in B.Sc Engg (Electronics) from Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University, and also completed her PG Diploma in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM) from IIM, Bengaluru.
Throughout her career in the Railways, Madhavi has worked in various positions, including construction and Railway PSU. She has over 20 years of experience in planning, managing, and executing large railway construction projects. She has been involved in projects such as automatic signalling, doubling, MRTS, gauge conversions, and railway electrification across Eastern, Southern, and South Western Railways.
Madhavi has received recognition for her work, including the General Manager Award during railway week in 2010 and the RVNL Founders Day Award in 2016 and 2021.
