Gadwal: Mahanandi Reddy, a senior leader in the Congress Party from KT Doddi Mandal, called for unity among party members. He urged everyone to support Sarithamma despite any disagreements over official candidacy endorsements, known as B-forms.
At a meeting in the district headquarters for Congress workers from the Gadwal constituency, Reddy spoke about the current political situation and plans for the upcoming local elections.
He mentioned that although Sarithamma lost in the last Assembly elections, she achieved a moral victory. Reddy claimed that opposition within the district targeted her because she was a Backward Classes (BC) woman candidate, showing her strength and the fear she instilled in her rivals.
True Congress supporters, according to Reddy, continue to back Sarithamma. He asked them to ignore concerns about B-form distribution for local elections.
“Forget about whether B-forms will be issued,” Reddy said, stressing the importance of building the party under Sarithamma’s leadership.
If B-forms are not given to their group, Reddy encouraged loyalists to run independently, proving Sarithamma’s leadership strength through election results.
The meeting aimed to strengthen the party and prepare for local elections, attended by former MPTC Padma Reddy, C. Naresh, Vadde Venkata Ramulu, and other local leaders.
The key message was to unite under Sarithamma, focus on leadership over internal issues, and demonstrate Congress strength, whether through party tickets or independent candidacies.
