Gadwal: Telangana Chief Minister Enumula Revanth Reddy instructed district collectors to create plans for dealing with monsoon-related challenges. On Monday, he held a video conference from Hyderabad with cabinet ministers to discuss issues like heavy rains, diseases common during the monsoon, Kharif crop growth, and ration card distribution.
CM Revanth Reddy urged district collectors to prepare detailed plans to manage problems from heavy rainfall. He stressed that they should prevent any disruptions or dangers due to excessive rain and take precautions to protect both people and animals from lightning. If a life is lost, he emphasized the need for immediate relief actions.
He also advised keeping officials at the mandal and village levels alert throughout the monsoon. Focusing on farmers’ needs, he highlighted their well-being as a top priority. He instructed that urea stock information should be visibly displayed at fertilizer shops and updated online to reassure farmers that there is no shortage.
To combat seasonal diseases like dengue, chikungunya, malaria, and viral fevers, he directed district administrations to start health and sanitation measures immediately. He stressed the need for mosquito control and intensive sanitation efforts to stop disease spread.
The Chief Minister requested that doctors be available at all times and asked district collectors to make unannounced visits to health centers to ensure they are prepared.
For ration card distribution, the CM announced a distribution drive in all mandal headquarters from July 25 to August 10. He encouraged local public representatives to participate actively for effective outreach and transparency.
District Collector B.M. Santosh and other key district officials joined the video conference to discuss implementing these essential monsoon management and welfare strategies.
