Gandhi Jayanti Celebrated at Alampur Market Yard

Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated at the Alampur Market Yard. The event was organized to honor the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, who is remembered for his contribution to India’s independence and his philosophy of non-violence.

During the celebration, Chairman Bingi Doddi Doddappa spoke about Gandhi’s lasting influence on India’s history. He highlighted how Gandhi’s principles of non-violence, truth, and peace helped India gain freedom from British rule. Doddappa also mentioned that the Congress Party, which was founded by Gandhi and Nehru in the 18th century, continues to follow these values to maintain unity and integrity in the country.

Doddappa further emphasized Gandhi’s belief in the power of truth, quoting the famous phrase “Satyameva Jayate” (Truth alone triumphs). He encouraged everyone to follow Gandhi’s path of truthfulness and work towards achieving village self-rule, also known as Gram Swaraj. According to Doddappa, Gandhi believed that the prosperity of villages was essential for the entire country to develop.

The event was attended by Vice Chairman Pacharla Kumar, Market Yard Directors Shanagapalli Rukmananda Reddy, and Srikant, along with other staff members. They all paid their respects by offering floral tributes to a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi.
