    The district additional collector Musini Venkateshwarlu has instructed officials to prepare for the Local body MLC election on Thursday. He visited the polling station at MP DO office in Gadwal and ensured 24-hour power supply and necessary infrastructure.

    There are 225 public representatives from local bodies like MP TCs, MPTC, municipal councilors, MLAs, and MLCs who will be voting. The breakdown includes 1 MLC, 2 MLAs, 12 ZP TCs, 37 municipal council members in Gadwal constituency, 20 councilors in Ieeja, 10 in Vaddepalli, and 10 in Alampur. The MP TCs in various areas range from 5 to 15 members.

    For security, barricades will be installed and a 100-meter range marked similar to Assembly elections. The officials have been directed to ensure all necessary arrangements are in place. ZP CEO Kanthamma, Election superintendent Naresh, and others were present during the inspection.
