An awareness program on the PoSH Act 2013 was recently held at Nelikonda Government Science Degree College in Nagarkurnool district. The program was organized by the Women Empowerment Cell and featured Sakhi Center Coordinator Sunitha as the resource person. Sunitha explained the importance of the PoSH Act in workplaces to both faculty and students.
College Principal Qamar Shahjahan Sultana emphasized the need for individuals who experience harassment at work to report it to the appropriate committee as a complaint. She highlighted that such issues should be resolved within 90 days.
Women Empowerment Coordinator B. Umadevi encouraged students to share this information with their family members, colleagues, and community. The faculty and students expressed their gratitude for the informative event. Vice Principal Shaik Khaja Bee, along with lecturers Ramya Shailaja and others, also participated in the program.
