Hyderabad: TPCC Chief B Mahesh Kumar Goud has challenged BRS leader Harish Rao to an open debate about the alleged failures of the BRS government. He claims to have strong proof that Harish Rao and BJP MP Eatala Rajender recently met.
At a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, Mahesh Goud criticized Harish Rao for boasting about the Kaleshwaram project, which cost Rs 1.2 lakh crore. He said Harish Rao acts as if all projects in Telangana were built by the BRS, yet the Kaleshwaram funding was wasted, as it failed to irrigate even one acre. The projects built with this money were of poor quality and didn’t last three years.
The PCC president demanded Harish Rao address issues caused by MLC K Kavitha before criticizing the Congress and its leaders. He mocked the former Irrigation Minister and questioned if BRS would last until the next Assembly polls. Mahesh Goud doubted Harish Rao’s claim of winning 100 seats, suggesting he might not even secure a nomination. He advised Harish Rao to decide which faction to support, as he believes BRS is near collapse.
