Suspended Congress MLC Chinthapandu Naveen, also known as Teenmaar Mallanna, has accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of weakening the Congress Party and secretly helping the BJP. Speaking for the first time after his suspension, Mallanna claimed that Revanth Reddy orchestrated his removal to silence those questioning his leadership and alleged unfair treatment of Backward Classes (BCs).

At a press conference in Hyderabad, Mallanna directly blamed Revanth Reddy for supporting the BJP in key constituencies like Malkajgiri, Chevella, and Mahabubnagar. He also alleged that Revanth Reddy pressured Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud to suspend him from the party.

“Revanth made a huge mistake by suspending me, and he will regret it,” Mallanna said.

Additionally, he accused the Chief Minister of ignoring BC leaders and manipulating the caste census to benefit forward castes under the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) quota. Mallanna criticized the Congress government’s caste census, stating that participation was much lower compared to the 2014 Comprehensive Household Survey conducted by the BRS government, which even saw Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) returning to register.

He challenged Revanth Reddy to explain why a re-survey was ordered if the caste census was conducted properly. He also pointed out that several Congress leaders, including ministers, did not participate in the census.

Mallanna credited himself for Congress’s success in Telangana, claiming that the party won 42 out of 45 seats where he campaigned. He confidently predicted that in 2028, Telangana will have a BC leader as Chief Minister, despite Revanth Reddy’s alleged attempts to undermine BC interests.

Finally, he criticized the Congress government for neglecting BCs even 15 months after coming to power. He alleged that Reddy leaders control key positions while loyal Congress workers are being ignored. Mallanna also claimed that senior BC leaders like V. Hanumanth Rao and Anjan Kumar Yadav were being silenced.
