Manjhi says small businesses are crucial for leading green efforts

Hyderabad: Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Jitan Ram Manjhi, emphasized the important role of MSMEs in today’s world dealing with global warming. These enterprises use eco-friendly traditional methods, contributing significantly to environmental protection and supporting green initiatives.

He spoke at the launch of the State Level Vendor Development Programme for SC, ST Entrepreneurs at the National Institute for MSME, Yousufguda, organized by the National SC-ST Hub.

The Minister highlighted the need for 33% of the earth’s surface to be green to ensure better oxygen production. He expressed concerns over industries releasing carbon dioxide, urging for a shift in practices.

He advocated for an integrated education system to foster a self-reliant new generation. Encouraging support for MSMEs, he praised the Vishwakarma scheme for offering skill development and help to traditional artisans.
